NSW Air provides Pilot Training to a wide variety of people. The school caters for many training levels, from private, recreational students to those aspiring to be in command of airline jets. Training can be conducted part time or full time, at a pace that suits the trainee and his / her budget.

Pilot Training

Ab initio (new) students are taken through a structured and specialised flight training regime to achieve a Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and the theory credits for the Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL). Additional aviation ratings are available for a Multi-Engine (ME) Rating and Command Instrument Rating (CIR) and Flight Instructor Rating (FIR). Several options are available to undertake the theory training required.

Endorsement Training

NSW Air Flight Training has a number of different specialist endorsement training programs which allow a qualified pilot to exercise priviledges on aircraft associated with the endorsment type. Examples include a retractable undercarriage endorsement allows the pilot to operate an aircraft with a retractable undercarriage. For further information click here

Careers

For CPL (Commercial) Pilots, once qualified, opportunities exist within our organisation for true career progression. Within the company's structure, a Commercial Pilot can progress through the pilot training to qualify as an Instructor at our flying school or a Search and Rescue pilot with the Australian Aerial Patrol on its specialised twin engine aircraft.

Once a candidate has the appropriate experience he / she can begin flying with the Charter division, of NSW Air. This career progression allows us to mould our pilots to gain the experience needed to one day fly with the major airlines, whilst enjoying an exciting training regime.

Our Aircraft are: Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Cessna 182, Piper Tomahawk, Piper Challenger, Piper Arrow, Piper Chieftain,, Partenavia PN68 and Beechcraft Dutchess.
